Records Requests

Certain records maintained by the Minocqua Police Department are considered "Exempt from Disclosure". If exempt records are requested, the requestor will be advised of the same and the basis for the denial of access. Records exempt from disclosure would include reports which are stil under investigation or haven't been through the court system and certain employee personnel records. Juvenile information is not released by the Minocqua Police Department. This information will be blocked out on the record before being released.

Request for access, compis or information may be presented either verbally or in writing. The request must be reasonably specific to aid in location of the requested records. Some records requests may require additional time to research.

D.  Photographs- Cost of development + 30%

E.  Fax Fees- $0.60 per page for local

                         - $0.85 per page for long dist.

F.  Reprints on Diskettes- $3.00 per diskette

G.  House Moving- On Duty Officer $37.03

                             -Off Duty Officer- $61.36

rates = per hour

PLUS .44.5 per mile per squad and $10.00 per hour per squad

H.  Copies of Tape Recordings (Video/Audio)- Time and material

I.  Civil Process- $25.00

J.  Finger Prints- $5.00 per card

Subject to Section 19.36 of the Wisconsin STatutes and applicable case law, the public may access and obtain records information, as well as make request for copies of records of the Minocqua Police Department in the following manner:

1. Location/Times:  Minoqua PD- Monday through Friday (excluding holidays)- 8:00AM through 4:00PM

2. Legal Custodian:  Minocqua Police Chief Norbert J. McMahon or, in his absence, Detective/Sgt. Todd G. Hanson- 19.33(1) of Wisconsin Statutes

3.  Custodians designated to respond to record requests, as provided in Section 19.35(1)(2)(3)(4) of Wisconsin Statutes, are the Law Enforcement Clerks and Confidential Secretary- Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) - 8:00 AM through 4:00 PM
